Sicilian Meat Roll
Ingredients
2 lb ground beef
1 8oz can of tomato sauce
1 tsp worcestershire sauce
1 cup breadcrumbs
2 eggs
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp oregano
8 oz sliced ham
8 oz fresh mozzerella cheese, sliced.
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a large bowl, thoroughly combine the ground beef, tomato sauce, worcestershire sauce, breadcrumbs, eggs, onion powder, garlic powder and oregano.
On a piece of foil or waxed paper, shape the meat mixture into a rectangle, about 8x10 inches. Lay the sliced ham on top of the meat, leaving a margin around the edges. Lay about 3/4 of the cheese over the ham.
Carefully roll up the meat, lifting with the foil or waxed paper. Seal the seam, and the edges of the meat, and place, seam side down in a large baking dish.
Bake for about 75 minutes. Place the remaining cheese on top of the roll, and bake for another 5 minutes, until the cheese melts.
Remove from the oven, and let sit for 5 minutes before slicing.
