Fried Basa Fish
Ingredients
1 lb basa fish
fillets
1/2 cup flour
Salt and Pepper
1/2 cup orange juice
1 Tbsp lime juice
1 Tbsp lemon juice
1 Tbsp chopped fresh herbs (I used dill and chives, tarragon, marjoram,
and thyme would probably work well)
1 Tbsp cornstarch and 1 Tbsp cold water (optional)
Directions
Heat a small amount of oil in a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
On a plate or shallow bowl, mix the flour, salt, and pepper.
Dredge the basa fish fillets in the flour, and add to the skillet.
Cook the fish over medium-high heat for about 5-6 minutes per side, until golden brown.
In a small saucepan, combine the orange juice, lime juice, lemon juice, and fresh herbs. Heat over medium high heat, for about 5-10 minutes.
If you prefer a thicker sauce, combine the cornstarch and water, and add the mixture to the sauce, a little bit at a time, until it reaches the desired thickness.
Drizzle the sauce over the fish, and serve.
