Scotch Eggs
Ingredients
4 hard cooked
eggs
1 lb. bulk pork sausage
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1 raw egg
1 Tbsp milk or water.
Directions
Preheat your oven to 450 degrees F.
Divide the sausage into 4 equal portions. On a sheet of waxed paper, shape each portion into a patty.
Peel the hard cooked eggs. Take one of the sausage patties, and form it around one of the eggs, enclosing the egg completely. Repeat with the other 3 eggs.
In a small bowl, beat together the raw egg and the milk or water.
Dip each sausage covered egg into the egg and milk, and then into the bread crumbs.
Place into a baking dish, and bake in a 450 degree oven for 40 minutes, until the sausage is cooked, and the breadcrumbs are crispy.
Remove from the oven and serve.
