Mulled Cider

Ingredients

1/2 cup brown sugar
2 quarts apple cider
1 tsp whole allspice
1 1/2 tsp whole cloves
2 cinnamon sticks
Orange slices

Directions

Place all ingredients in a crock-pot. If desired, tie spices in a cheesecloth or place in a tea strainer. If spices are added loose, strain cider before serving.

Cover; cook on low 4 to 8 hours. Serve from the crock-pot with a ladle.
